Activism and Support.

At Leber Jeweler Inc we feel it is vital for all companies to commit financial resources towards making a better world for all. As in previous years, in 2008 over 15% of company profits went towards funding a wide array of advocacy and developmental initiatives locally, in Washington DC and throughout the world.

We firmly believe that simply making donations to charities is not enough to make a company "ethical". To this end, we spend innumerable hours working directly with non-governmental organizations, the United States Congress and other government agencies, in addition to members of the jewelry industry who share our vision. By donating our time and our technical expertise, we hope to improve our industry, the plight of those living in the developing world and the environment in which we live.

During our history, the Leber Jeweler stores have enthusiastically supported several local, international, and industry-related causes with an emphasis on educational, humanitarian, and environmental issues. Although we cannot contribute to all the worthy organizations that make requests, we are proud of our affiliations. Here are just some of the charitable and civic organizations we have supported:

  • Africare
  • American Cancer Society
  • American Red Cross
  • Amnesty International
  • Burma Campaign UK
  • CARE
  • Farm Sanctuary
  • Global Health Access Partnership
  • Habitat for Humanity
  • Human Rights Watch
  • Humane Society of the United States
  • Jewelers' Burma Relief Project
  • Leukemia and Lymphoma Society Team in Training
